The Cat in the Hat Knows A Lot About That Premiere

September 9, 2010

On Monday, PBS Kids premiered a new science based show called The Cat in the Hat Knows A Lot About That.  Being both a PBS and a Dr. Seuss lover I was delighted when I was offered the opportunity to host a sneak peek party for the show!

On Sunday 8 parents and 10 kiddos gathered at my house for some goodies, a little playtime and a lot of the Cat in the Hat!  After spending some time at the Dr. Seuss coloring station, we all gathered our snacks (cookie lollipops, popcorn, Twizzlers, goldfish and applesauce for the babies) and headed to the TV.  As soon as the show began our little audience was enthralled.

Voiced by Martin Short, the Cat in the Hat is silly and entertaining, but still educational.  We watched episodes on how honey was made, what migration was and more!

In case you missed the first week of this new show, don't fret.  You and your kids can catch The Cat in the Hat Knows A Lot About That every weekday at 8:30AM on WTTW 11.

Disclosure: PBS Kids provided me with some of the goodies (food, decorations and party favors) as well as a stipend to host this party, but as always all opinions are my own.
