Okee Dokee Brothers concert & GIVEAWAY

October 21, 2010

The Okee Dokee Brothers delivers their newest collection of energetic songs called Take It Outside, Saturday, Oct. 30 at 11AM at Schubas, 3159 North Southport Avenue, Chicago, IL 60657.

Featuring 13 original songs designed to get families on their feet and out of the house, Take It Outside offers enough witty wordplay, musical sophistication and food for thought to engage listeners of any age.

The Okee Dokee Brothers is the acclaimed Twin Cities duo of Joe Mailander and Justin Lansing. Together, these lifelong friends blend a little bit of country, quite a bit of bluegrass, and add in pop and funk influences for good measure. The crisp new sound for Take It Outside is helped along by Grammy award nominated producer Tor Hyams (known for creating Kidzapalooza and Austin Kiddie Limits, among other kindie music events). Guest artist Adam Levy (Honeydogs and Bunnyclogs) performs the rocking lead electric guitar on the song “Hero.”

Tickets for this fun concert are FREE for children two and under and $6 for everyone else.  BUT! One lucky Macaroni Kid Chicago reader could win TWO tickets to the concert and an Okee Dokee Brothers CD

All you have to do to win is email me, saray@macaronikid.com, with Okee Dokee as your subject by Saturday, October  23 at noon CST.  Only one entry per person please.  A winner will be chosen via random.org.
