Macaroni Kid Review: Creatacard App from American Greetings

My Macaroni Kid's grandparents are in Texas and North Carolina. Since we don't get to see them very often, we send a lot of cards. Which means I spend a lot of time in card aisles trying to find something that fits my son's personality. When I was offered the chance to review the new Creatacard app from American Greetings, I jumped at it!

This free iPad app allows users to create their own greeting cards using a variety of tools like stickers, markers, paints, chalk and more. The app is so user friendly and my 5 year old had no problem navigating his way through as he made cards for the grandparents. Once he was done, I was asked to review his work and then input some info. Creatacard then prints and mails the card for you for just $3.49 per card. No more running to the card store and searching the aisles, no more digging for stamps at the bottom of your purse (just me?)--American Greetings has made card sending easy and fun!

I love that the app offered so many different ways for my son to be creative. He could create his own design, personalize one of American Greetings' designs and even upload pictures to cards. The app uses voice commands so even if your Mac Kid isn't reading yet, they can easily design and create their own cards. And (one of my favorite parts!) no messy art supplies to clean up afterwards! It's all on your iPad! And (my absolute favorite part!) the cards truly represent my son and his relationship with his grandparents since they are his own creations!

Grandparents Day is September 7. Wouldn't they love an original card from their Macaroni GrandKid? Download the Creatacard app and get busy creating! The deadline for Grandparents Day cards is TODAY, August 28!
