Cupid's Garland

A great craft for the 6 and up crowd!

By Karen Brody and Scholastic Parent & Child magazine February 10, 2011

Materials:

  • Red construction paper
  • Paper doilies
  • Red and white felt
  • Tacky glue and glitter glue
  • Glittery heart-shaped stickers

Steps:

  • Fold a long sheet of construction paper like an accordion and cut out a heart shape with a tab on the fold side. (The tab is where the hearts will connect.)
  • Cut heart shapes out of the felt and glue them to the doilies.
  • Glue the doilies to the heart garland and decorate using the glitter glue and stickers. Allow to dry.

TIP: Turn your garland into a valentine by writing a message on it, folding it back into an accordion, and popping it into an envelope.
