Exciting news!  Macaroni Kid delivers your local happenings as well as the latest and greatest on family entertainment, travel, safety, food, and life of a military family.  We’ve got an awesome new National Newsletter to add to the bunch; Macaroni Kid Family Fitness!  We can’t resist the topic and we hope you’re as excited as we are!  Fitness is something each and every one of us should incorporate into our daily lives.  Fitness undeniably improves family wellness by boosting physical and psychological health, energy, confidence, and providing an opportunity for family bonding.

We’re at a point, as a nation, where fitness is no longer optional, it’s imperative.  Getting your kids off the couch and teaching them the value of healthy choices is essential.  That’s why Macaroni Kid Family Fitness provides small and manageable changes you and your family can make, a family challenge to boost your family’s enthusiasm and commitment to one another, stories and advice from top trainers, help on fueling your body, the meaningful effects of exercise, and much more!  Getting fit will undeniably make you and your family healthier and happier, which is Macaroni Kid’s priority.  Regardless of your current level of fitness, there’s something there for you; from an honest mom’s story about positive thinking (something we all need more of) to a recipe for yummy-in-my-tummy kid-friendly energy bars!

Even some of our favorite brands are getting serious about Fitness; read about Clorox2’s push to Play2Day!  Just as Clorox2 tells you, fitness “even helps kids perform better at school and grow into healthier adults!”  The consistent theme in this newsletter is that fitness can be (and should be!) FUN!  Yes, it can be as simple as playing outside with your kids, or even challenging them in Wii Fit!  What’s wrong with a little friendly competition?!  Every month, Macaroni Kid's "Our Family Moves" section will challenge your family to MOVE!  Think your family can do 1,000 push-ups?  We know you can!  We always say, “the family that plays together stays together!”

We’ve got awesome tips from top CPT’s Norah Benincasa and Jason Cofield; both parents who have mastered the balance between fitness and fun family life.  Among many, there's a great article provided by the Alliance for a Healthier Generation, a non-profit founded by the American Hearth Association.  We’ve got protein-packed meals to fuel your workouts and this month the kids will go crazy for Laura Fuentes’ “Ultimate Peanut Butter & Jelly Bars!

Ok we can’t give it all away…but we want you to be a part of Macaroni Kid’s new commitment to family fitness!  So get moving!  Head on over to www.familyfitness.macaronikid.com!
