For my son's 3rd birthday last year, I have a couple of not great iPhone pix of my son and his friends and NO pictures of him blowing out his candles. I was too busy lighting the candles and passing out cake to document anything. This year I decided it would be different, so I was thrilled to find Meghan from Mom of Three Photography! A newborn, child and family photographer, Meghan offers great pictures at an affordable price.
The day of my son's 4th birthday party, Meghan arrived at the party destination and started snapping away. Meghan was awesome about somehow being right there to get shots of all of the party fun but also blending in and not getting in the way. I think some of our party guests were completely unaware that we had a photographer there!
Prior to the big day, she had sent me a form to fill out so she'd have an idea of what kind of shots I wanted. I told her the people I wanted to make sure she got images of (everyone, but we had family in town for the party and I really wanted to make sure they were in lots of the pictures), as well as the overall feel I wanted (candid--I really wanted the pictures to show the party in action and not a lot of posed pix.) I also had spent some time putting together decorations for the party and wanted to make sure she got shots of those as well. Everything I asked for, she delivered and I really appreciated that attention to detail and concern for what I wanted.
Because we were having our party at a bowling alley we couldn't bring a lot of stuff in, but Meghan also offers a birthday party "photo booth". She sets up a studio-like area at the party and can do portraits of the party guests. LOVE that idea!
This was our first experience with Mom of Three Photography, but I know it won't be our last. She was easy to work with, great with the kids (probably helps that she's a mom of three!) and the pictures are amazing! Whether you've got a big event coming up, are looking for someone to do a family session or have a baby on the way, I highly recommend Mom of Three Photography!
