Band Together: A Chicago Kindie Sampler

CHICAGO KINDIE MUSICIANS COLLABORATE ON DIGITAL ALBUM

February 20, 2014
Chicago has a great kindie music scene with talented local musicians offering music to younger audiences. From country to folk to pop, the kindie scene offers something for every Macaroni Kid out there. And now several of those musicians have come together with Band Together: A Chicago Kindie Sampler.

I was so happy to receive a preview of the album and my Macaroni Kid and I LOVE this new album. We were excited to hear from some of our faves while also being introduced to musicians we hadn't listened to before. We've kept this album on repeat in our car over the last few days and if you pull up next to us, don't be surprised to see us dancing around in our car seats!

Chicago-area children's artists will debut previously unreleased tracks on this compilation sampler available March 4, 2014.  Sales from the digital album, Band Together: A Chicago Kindie Sampler, will benefit Intonation Music Workshop. The songs will be performed live in a celebration concert at 3:00pm on Saturday March 8, 2014 at Lincoln Hall in Chicago.

Chicago kindie musicians Little Miss Ann (Ann Torralba), Super Stolie (Rebecca Stoelinga) and Miss Jamie From the Farm (Jamie Blythe Martin) met for a friendly coffee which sparked the idea to invite local children's artists to collaborate on a musical release celebrating the supportive landscape of the Chicago children's music network. To gather an array of artists, they reached out to a panel of kid-centric judges to make nominations for the album.
