Fresh Beat Band: We Had A Great Day!

December 4, 2014
My Mac Kid has been a fan of the Fresh Beat Band for a few years now, so we were really happy to see them live in concert last weekend. From the moment the show started, the excitement at the Rosemont Theatre was off the charts. The Fresh Beat Band's fan base is mostly preschoolers and early elementary kids, but even though they were little, they still rocked out! There were kids dancing in the aisles, singing along, screaming for their favorite band member and lots of chanting of "FRESH! BEAT! BAND!"

During the concert, the Fresh Beats performed many of their most popular tunes, as well as a few covers and new songs. They also introduced the audience to their new animated series, Fresh Beat Band of Spies, that will begin in 2015 on Nickelodeon. We got to hear the new theme song and even meet one of the characters of the new show, a cute animated monkey named Bo!

From the back-up dancers to the audience interaction, each moment of the show was high energy and entertaining. The kids seem to love all 4 Fresh Beats--Shout, Twist, Kiki and Marina--equally, but as a parent who has listened to her fair share of not great kids' music, I really enjoyed Kiki's and Shout's strong, wonderful voices!

The Fresh Beat Band is a great way to introduce your kids to pop concerts. The music is catchy and fun and even the adults (ME!) were clapping and singing along! Next time they're in town, check them out with your Mac Kids! And be sure to keep an eye out for their new show!

Disclosure: I was given tickets to the concert to facilitate this review, but all opinions are my own.
