We've been Super Stolie fans for several years now, so I was thrilled when I was asked to review her latest CD, Family in Harmony. And just like her past albums, When I Grow Up and Press Play!, this newest collection offers music both kids and parents can enjoy!
Each time I've listened to Family in Harmony with my Mac Kid, I've found something new to enjoy. Whether it's the country twang of "Chicken in the Kitchen", the Spanish in "Boca Boca Boca" and "Paz Amor y Gozo", the folksy sound of "The River Down" or the soothing lullaby "Sweetheart", this CD has something for everyone and every mood.
I was so impressed with the versatility on this CD with each song introducing a new sound, lesson and range of instruments to the listener. And speaking of versatility, Super Stolie is quite the musician! Besides singing each song, she plays every instrument you hear on the CD, including acoustic guitar, piano, ukulele, mandolin, melodica, harmonica, bass guitar, tambourine, shakers, xylophone, hand claps, lap pats, beatbox and a whole slew of intricate vocal harmonies. WOW!
Make your next family sing-along more fun and check out Super Stolie's newest creation, Family in Harmony. You can purchase it here for $12.
Disclosure: I was sent a copy of Family in Harmony to facilitate this review, but all opinions are my own.
