Last week I partnered with Bucktown Music to host a preview party for the DVD release of Disney's The Lion Guard: Return of the Roar.
This new movie is a continuation of Disney's The Lion King and introduces the viewers to Kion, Simba's and Nala's cub. My Mac Kid is a HUGE fan of the original Lion King movie (who isn't?), so we were so excited to spend the day with other families watching The Lion Guard!
ROAR!!
Just like in the original movie, the Pride Lands and all of its inhabitants are beautifully rendered and brought to life by wonderful actors. The characters are likable and funny and portrayed by talented, well-known actors such as Rob Lowe (Simba), Gabrielle Union (Nala, Ernie Sabella (Pumbaa), Sarah Hyland (Tifuu) and James Earl Jones (Mufasa). The soundtrack is catchy and our little guests were singing and clapping along throughout the whole show!

Totally enthralled! Besides enjoying the movie, Miss Jessica of Bucktown Music led us through some fun songs and rhythm games straight from The Lion Guard! We all had a blast dancing with hoops, making rhythms with sticks and playing drums! Be sure and check out The Lion Guard themed music classes going on now at Bucktown Music!
The DVD for Disney's The Lion Guard: Return of the Roar came out on February 23. All of our party guests gave it 2 thumbs up! Add this movie to your collection and it is sure to become a family favorite!
