Parcel of Love - Baby Boxes for Syria

Donate to help moms and babies in Syria

April 23, 2017

About the Parcel of Love campaign:

Every week, hundreds of babies are born in refugee camps in Idlib, Syria. Expecting and new mothers have been forced to abandon their homes, leaving them without even the most basic necessities to care for a newborn.

The Parcel of Love campaign aims to bring aid to 1,500 Syrian babies born into refugee camps, providing infants with up to a six-month supply of formula, and newborns born in Idlib camps with a fully equipped baby box – a Parcel of Love.

Each Parcel of Love will be filled with baby essentials: baby formula, warm clothing and blankets, healthcare items, and a packable bassinet for the baby to sleep in.

- Fast Facts:

  • Of the 4.8 million registered Syrian refugees, half are children.
  • Over 60,000 babies have been born in exile.
  • Refugees face extreme poverty, limited shelter, limited medical access, virtually no access to education, and children are showing symptoms of psychological strain from the traumas of witnessing war.
  • Top worries of every mom living in the camps: hardships of childbirth in such a setting, worries about what they’ll feed their newborn and the feeling of abandonment

The Parcel of Love campaign aims to bring relief to 1,500 Syrian babies born into refugee camps, providing infants with baby formula, warm clothing and blankets, healthcare items, and a packable bassinet for the baby to sleep in.
