Codeverse is the world’s first fully interactive coding studio and educational tech platform for kids aged 6 to 12.  Founded on the mission to teach a billion children to code, Macaroni Kid Chicago is excited to tell you that in the next few months Codeverse will be making major strides to get closer to the “billion children” mark!

Two new Codeverse locations will soon be opening in Illinois. Codeverse Naperville will be opening December 2018 and Codeverse Wilmette will open January 2019 - with an exciting National Expansion Plan to be announced in 2019!

Created up by some of Chicago’s most innovative techies, Codeverse aims to bring the latest technology into the creative hands of Chicago’s children in 1st-8th grades. Whether your child is new to computer science or has been grabbing for the family iPad since they could walk, the Codeverse curriculum is designed to be engaging and easy to digest for children of all experience.

Using iPads and a unique coding language called ‘Kidscript', kids learn how to build apps and games, as well as program cutting-edge technology throughout the space, including concert-hall lights, speakers, strobe lights, laser cutters, 3D printers, robotic arms, and TVs.  Beyond technical skills, Codeverse teaches kids how to be creative, how to work independently and collaborate with others, how to problem solve, and how to gain confidence through public speaking. These are the real-life skills for success!
