Kick Up Some Fun!

West Loop Soccer Club

By Sara Yaniga, Macaroni Kid Chicago (Midtown) December 6, 2018

I am always on the hunt for new ways to burn maximum levels of kid-energy, especially during the winter months!  Soccer is an activity that both of my kids really enjoy and I have to say that any program, like the West Loop Soccer Club, that lasts year round gets my interest.

Milos Bajic, Founder West Loop Soccer Club

  • What makes West Loop Soccer Club unique?  Our coaches! The heart and soul of our organization is our coaching staff. We have handpicked the best of the best. All of our coaches are former professional and All-American collegiate players who hold some of the most prestigious licenses and awards both nationally and
    internationally.
  • My child has never played soccer before, can they still play? Sure! We welcome youth of all ages and abilities to join our organization and master soccer skills in a competitive yet fun and family oriented environment.
  • All ages?  What are the age requirements? West Loop Soccer Club works with kids as young as 2-3 years old in the MIghty Kickers program and up to age 12 with the Pre-Travel program.
  • What is Travel Soccer? Travel soccer is a competitive program. All players are welcome to attend tryouts, but not all will be asked to join a team. Once asked to join, playing time is not guaranteed. Additionally, once on a team, players will continue to have to try-out every June to keep their roster spot. Coaches are highly licensed and bring a wealth of personal playing and training experience to the teams they lead. Travel soccer is a highly competitive world, and players’ development is of the utmost importance. Please realize that travel soccer is not for everyone. To be successful in travel soccer, children should show a high level of ability, and their families should recognize that a greater commitment, both in terms of attendance at practices and games, as well as financially, is required.
  • What about during the winter when energy is high and outdoor time is minimial? Yes. We offer year-round programs. Our Winter/indoor season will run from November-April. All classes will be held at Mercy Soccer Center (160 S Aberdeen St).

  • What is the West Loop Soccer Club? West Loop Soccer Club was founded in Summer 2015 by Milos Bajic, professional youth soccer
coach, with a single mission: to provide a superior and consistent youth soccer program for an affordable price. Our first community clinic had more coaches than kids in attendance. Fast forward three years and the club has grown to nearly two hundred and fifty members.
  • What Type of Programs are Offered? In addition to our Pre-Travel and After School programs, we also offer Competitive/Travel programs. Currently, four of our teams, ages U8-U12, compete in a league against the best academies from the city and suburbs. West Loop Soccer Club also offers camps during summer & school breaks.
  • What is Your Soccer Curriculum Like? Our development philosophy is based on creating intelligent soccer players who express
themselves without fear of making mistakes. At our training sessions, you can hear laughter and words of encouragement while kids are trying to mimic the moves of their coaches. We focus
our training on foot-skills and ball control, SAQ (speed, agility, and quickness), small sided games and finishing.
