Review - All New RITZ Crisp & Thins Deliver Flavor and Crunch

By Sara Yaniga, Macaroni Kid Chicago (Midtown) June 30, 2019

Ah...potato chips.  My mouth waters just thinking about chips and they are a trigger of great childhood memories - as an afterschool snack while playing with friends, in my lunchbox on field trips and in the summertime bags of chips were guaranteed to be at every family cook-out and neighborhood block party.

Mountains of crunchy chips.

But here is the thing about turning into an adult - we become aware of the fact that tasting good doesn't mean it's good for your health.  So you limit them to special occasions or stop buying them altogether, catering to the grown-up version of life and ignoring the childhood nostalgia inside of you.

RITZ crackers are a staple in our home. In fact, when my kids are adults they may have their own childhood memories revisited when eating a RITZ cracker because they are packed in their lunches, taken as snacks to the park or pool and eaten plain or dressed up with cream cheese or peanut butter.  (One day they will even discover that those delicious cookies I make for them are actually made using RITZ crackers!).  A RITZ cracker is buttery, crunchy and a perfect pantry staple in my opinion.  It has been our "chip" substitute for many years now.

So, when a brand you know and love, like RITZ, offers you the chance to sample their all-new line of RITZ Crisp & Thins, it is hard to say no. They offer a variety of baked snacks that are better for you and still have that satisfying crunch and taste of a chip!  The flavors we were sent were BBQ and Cheddar and thanks to the generosity of RITZ we had enough to share with our friends too!  I think it's easy to see by the photos that everyone was really enjoying the RITZ Crisp & Thins in the park - and it was a tie between BBQ and Cheddar for the favorite flavor with our friends.

The all-new RITZ Crisp & Thins have definitely found a place in our family's pantry!  They are a great snack for many reasons, but mostly because I know:

  • They taste great (my personal fave are the BBQ flavor and the kids loved the Cheddar)
  • RITZ Crisp & Thins are light and crispy - you get that "crunch" of a chip
  • They are baked and contain 50% LESS fat than a traditional potato chip
  • The bag is perfect to toss in the stroller or bag to take along on our summer adventures to the parks, pool, and beach!
  • You can easily find them at your local Mariano's or Kroger stores too!

Grab a bag and give them a try for yourself - and don't toss those little crumbs from the bottom of the bag because they make a GREAT topper for soups and salads too!
