FRIGHTENINGLY FESTIVE FUN FOR ALL AT SHEDD AQUARIUM THIS HALLOWEEN
It’s the spookiest time of year at Shedd Aquarium. Join us for Halloween themed events, activities and tours for all ages! Families can spend the night at the aquarium with a spooky twist, take a private tour to see the “scariest” creatures living at Shedd, and enjoy an adults-only 21+ After Hours event on All Hallows Eve for festive bites and beverages.
ASLEEP WITH THE FISHES: SPOOKY SEAS
At Asleep with the Fishes overnights, families or groups will see the aquarium like never before – at night! Grab your costume for the aquarium’s annual Halloween overnight! Meet animals that come out at night, bust myths about animals like snakes and spiders, and learn about the slimy creatures that live below the waves. Participate in science activities, animal encounters, aquatic crafts, and so much more. Show off your costume on the dance floor and enjoy all the tricks and treats that Shedd overnights have to offer!

TOUR OF THE MONTH: SPOOKY ANIMALS
Alligators, sharks, snakes, piranhas, ants, cockroaches and even whales. What do these diverse animals have in common? All were once cast as villains. Join us on our Tour of the Month to learn the real stories that transform these animals from awfully scary to scarily awesome! Get an insider’s look at three exhibits during a 45-minute tour, available daily at 10 a.m. for up to 12 people. General admission included with the purchase of this experience, so participants will have access to express entry to the aquarium, admission to all exhibits and a ticket to the next available aquatic presentation.

SHEDD YOGA FLOW
Calm your body and your mind during a special candlelight session of Shedd Yoga Flow! Unwind from your day with a relaxing yoga class held in our historic main foyer after the aquarium closes. After class, enjoy exclusive access to the historic galleries. Discover animals that come out at night, bust myths about “spooky” animals like alligators and sharks, and learn about slimy creatures that live below the waves.

SHEDD AFTER HOURS: HALLOWEEN (21+ Only)
Are you brave enough to come face to face with predators of land, sky and the deep blue sea? At Shedd After Hours: Halloween, the first 21+ Halloween event at the aquarium, there will be surprising pop-up animal encounters and a hair-raising shark chat that proves facts are stranger than fiction. Wear your most imaginative Halloween attire for a chance to win prizes in our costume contest. As you haunt the aquarium, devour festive bites prepared by our culinary team, or sip a spooky spirit as you visit a science pub to learn how spooky the deep ocean can be, presented by a Shedd expert. Food, beverages and 4-D presentations are available for purchase.
