Growing up Nutella was a special treat in our family. Every so often my father would shop at a specialty grocery store and come home with a container of the delicious treat. We would spread it on waffles, graham crackers, wafers and pretty much anything we had on hand. I suspect my siblings were just dipping their spoons straight into the jar when no one was looking too.
In recognition of World Nutella Day on February 5th I would like to share a simple, yet scrumptious, a recipe that any Nutella lover will appreciate.
Using only 3 ingredients and minimal kitchen tools, this recipe is so easy to make and the clean-up is a breeze!

Tools Needed:
- Large Bowl
- Small Bowl
- Mixer
- Large Spoon
- Spatula
Ingredients Needed:
- 3 cups Heavy Whipping Cream
- 1/3 cup Sugar
- 1 cup Nutella
Optional ingredients can include:
chocolate or caramel sauce, sprinkles, graham crackers or wafers as toppings
Mix 3 cups heavy whipping cream and 1/3 cup sugar with a mixer until heavy whipped peaks form. (This takes about 8-9 minutes with my hand mixer. Do not over mix as you will end up with butter!)
Using a spoon remove some of the homemade whipped cream and set it aside in a small bowl.
Next, gently fold in 1 cup of Nutella using a spatula until the mix is a light brown whipped mousse.
Serve in a bowl, top with some whipped cream you set aside, and use any toppings you prefer. Enjoy!
