Valentine's DIY Inspiration from WE Events

Meet Your Neighbor Jessie Williams, Founder of WE Events

By Sara Yaniga, Macaroni Kid Chicago (Midtown) February 7, 2020

Valentine’s Day is just around the corner and it couldn’t be a better time to introduce you to a native Chicagoan who knows a lot about love.  I'm not talking about the kind of love you feel for your children, or significant other, but the love you have for the people in your community.

Jessie Williams is an expert in philanthropy, which means “love of humanity”, and she spreads this love all year long as Founder and Event Director of WE Events.  Based on the principle that giving to others can be rewarding and fun, each and every event they meticulously create includes a “give back” component for a local non-profit.

Often that “give back” comes in the form of a craft and here are some fun DIYs that will make anyone feel the love on February 14th! These are perfect to do with your kids when it’s too cold to be outside for long, or as a class or troop project.

From the crossing guard to a local nursing home, these sweet gifts are low calorie, fun to create and even more fun to give and brighten someone's day in an unexpected way!
