Create your At Home Family Fun

If your usual Fourth of July traditions and plans are canceled this year, here is a round-up of our favorite ideas for a family celebration at home!

RECIPES

You can join Kids Table on Facebook today, Wednesday, July 1st at 11:00 am, for a fun Fourth of July virtual class, and learn to make Red, White and Blue Tarts with the kids.  This class is offered on a "pay what you can" rate and donations to this local business can be made on their Paypal account here.

Ingredients you will need for this recipe are:

  • 1 egg
  • 6 T cold unsalted butter
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 1/4 cup cream cheese (2 oz), softened
  • 1 pint fresh strawberries
  • 1 pint fresh blueberries
  • Lemon zest (optional)
  • 1/2 cup + 1 T whole wheat flour
  • 1/2 cup + 1 T all-purpose flour
  • 1/4 cup sugar
  • 1 T cornstarch
  • 1/2 tsp vanilla extract
  • 2 T apricot preserves (optional)
  • 2 T cold water
