Chicago Farmer's Markets

Check out these sources for Fresh Produce and Goods

By Sara Yaniga, Macaroni Kid Chicago (Midtown) April 14, 2024

One of my family's favorite activities has always been to visit the local farmer's markets in Chicago.  It allows us to visit different neighborhoods and is a great way to put locally sourced foods and goods on our dinner table.  And while it pains me to say anything positive related to COVID, during the early quarantine days we gained a new appreciation for being able to support our local producers while also enjoying experimenting with new foods and recipes (like THIS ONE).

Many of Chicago's farmer's markets are also great spots to meet friends and enjoy a picnic. Some even have entertainment on certain dates such as storytelling, musicians, or cooking demonstrations!

Some markets also allow for pre-ordering for easy pick-up, or even delivery, and others now take EBT.
