Fortunately, our great city offers a variety of family-friendly breweries where parents can sip expertly crafted beers while the kids can have fun in entertaining environments! With spacious beer gardens and engaging games & activities, delicious menus that satisfy both adult and kid palates, these breweries make it easy to enjoy a day out with the whole family. 

Whether you're a local or a visitor exploring Chicago, our guide to the best family-friendly breweries will help you find the perfect spot for a memorable outing. 

Here are some of our favorite spots brewing up a good time for Chicago families: 

  1. Half Acre Beer Company - 2050 W Balmoral
    The Balmoral location has a beer garden that's great for families, and they offer a (limited) menu with tasty bites great for kid snacking or beer sipping! 
  2. Revolution Brewing - 2323 N Milwaukee Ave
    Situated in Logan Square, Revolution Brewing's brewpub offers a vibrant and family-friendly environment. They have a diverse menu that caters to both adults and kids.
  3. Dovetail Brewery - 1800 W Belle Plain
    This brewery in the Ravenswood neighborhood focuses on traditional European-style beers. They have a spacious taproom and frequently host family-friendly events and activities. This is a BYOF spot, so order in from one of their neighboring restaurants!
  4. The Perch Kitchen & Tap - 1932 W Division
    Located in Wicker Park this is a neighborhood go-to for local beer and food in a bright & welcoming spot for all. Families will appreciate that kids eat free every day from 4-6pm and they serve my favorite weekend meal of all time - BRUNCH!
  5. Corridor Brewery & Provisions - 3446 N Southport
    Located in the West Lakeview neighborhood, Corridor Brewery has a spacious and casual setting with a menu that includes options for kids. They also have board games and other activities to keep families entertained.
  6. Pilot Project Brewing - 2140 N Milwaukee Ave
    Located in Logan Square, Pilot Project is a brewery incubator with a rotating selection of beers from different brewers. Their spacious taproom and family-friendly events make it a great spot for parents and kids.
  7. Midwest Coast Brewing Company - 2137 W Walnut St
    This is a great spot for ordering in, or bringing in, the food you want and they even host pop-up events for the kids here. Just check their Instagram or calendar for into.
  8. On Tour Brewing Company - 1725 W Hubbard
    In the West Town area, On Tour Brewing offers a laid-back and family-friendly environment. They often have live music and other events that can be enjoyed by all ages.
  9. Eris Brewery and Cider House - 4240 W Irving Park Rd
    Eris Brewery and Cider House offers a spacious dining area with a diverse menu in the Old Irving Park neighborhood. They brew both beer and cider, providing a range of options for everyone in the family.
  10. Old Irving Brewing Co. - 4419 W Montrose Ave
    Located in Old Irving Park, this brewery has a large dining area with a menu that caters to families, making it a popular spot for parents with kids.
