MCA to present Family Day | Myths and Legends

Featuring collaboration with Peruvian Consulate

January 8, 2026

The Museum of Contemporary Art will present Family Day | Myths and Legends on Jan. 10 from 11 am to 3 pm throughout the museum.

As a part of the collaboration, the MCA has invited New York- and Lima-based artist Ana de Obregoso to lead a collage-based activity rooted in self-portraiture and the reinterpretation of historical Peruvian imagery, drawing primarily from iconic graphic patterns and Mochica sculpture.

Family Day at the MCA takes place every second Saturday from October through May and features bilingual facilitation for families in an around Chicago. Registration for Family Day is located on the second floor.
